The facial area is the first area of the body where the signs of aging become apparent. Smoking, exposure to sunlight, and even hereditary factors can lead to premature wrinkles, sagging, and sagging facial skin. For the elimination of wrinkles and the modern restoration of the youthful appearance of the face, Dr. Antoniadis applies the most modern techniques of wrinkle surgery on the face and neck. These operations are safe and completely effective. One of the important questions that candidates for this surgery ask is when is the right age for Facelift. Although most surgeries are performed between the ages of 45-65, there is in fact no specific age limit or restriction on performing Facelift surgery.

Face Lift

Wrinkle surgery aims to treat the relaxation of the face and neck. There are many types of surgery, such as MACS Lift (S-Lift) wrinkle surgery, but with the goal of the best possible result, Dr. Antoniadis chooses the appropriate operation that suits your case. The operation is usually combined with a neck lift (Neck lift), as well as with Eyelid Surgery, or Temporal and Frontal Lift. Simultaneous improvement of the nasopharyngeal canals and static wrinkles with the use of injectable implants can be done at the same time of the operation.

Surgical technique

The traditional technique of wrinkle surgery is performed with incisions in the scalp, the front of the ear and the back of the neck. The only visible scar is the one in front of the ear and it is very difficult to detect after the healing is completed.

Initially the skin is prepared and lifted from the surrounding tissues and the fibrous superficial neurotic system is tightened to achieve a long lasting effect. Excess fat is removed under the jaw and the buccal fat is repositioned in its original position. At the end of the operation, the skin is pulled and the remaining part is carefully excised. Two vacuum drains are placed on both sides before closing the surgical wound. The drains are removed after two days and the patient can go home with a special pressure bandage that must be worn around the clock for two weeks.
